African American Marketing Gets A Facelift.

Diversity City Media, a multicultural marketing and public relations firm, has enhanced their solutions to effectively enable advertisers to market to career-driven Black professionals.

Through their network of web sites which include BlackNews.com and BlackStudents.com, Diversity City now enables companies to market to African-Americans online as consumers and job seekers.

BlackNews.com is an online resource for daily African-American news and issues which attracts 400,000 unique visitors each month. The site also publishes a weekly email newsletter featuring the top Black news stories. Because of the site’s mature content, the company can boast that their audience is career-driven Black professionals – opposed to just random African-Americans.

Advertising solutions include more than just CPM banner advertising. The site offers static home page and category sponsorships, newsletter sponsorships, and solo-email blasts.

In addition, employers can post jobs and sift through 50,000 targeted resumes via the site’s career center (jobs.BlackNews.com).

BlackStudents.com (a spin-off of BlackNews.com) is an online resource for scholarships and internships, and also offers creative advertising solutions. This site attracts nearly 250,000 unique visitors each month, and also publishes a weekly email newsletter. Again, because of the mature content – the demographic is very professional.

“80% of our visitors are either college graduates or college students,” comments Dante Lee, CEO of the company. “This means that we have the largest online audience of Black Professionals, who are career-minded and goal-oriented.”

Diversity City also runs BlackPR.com – an extensive press release distribution service to all the black newspapers, magazines, TV and radio stations.
