AOL RED is Searching for Motivated Teens to Create and Star in Their Own Reality Show ... Possibly Winning up to $10,000
Red is a division of AOL offering teen members an opportunity to showcase their talent by starring in their very own reality show. Top five finalists will receive a cash prize of $1,000. Only the winner will receive $10,000.
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) August 11, 2006 -- Do you think you are more entertaining than Andy Milonakis? Are you and your friends more exciting than the kids from Laguna Beach? Are you funnier than Dave Chappelle? If so, AOL is giving you the chance to prove it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGlp_r8eDAk
RED, the division of AOL that provides content to its teens members, is looking for talented teens between the ages of 13 and 17 who think they have what it takes to create and star in their very own show.
"Be a RED Star," www.beaREDStar.com, will give teens across the country an opportunity to showcase themselves and their show idea, but once the producers narrow it down to the top five, they’ll turn it over to online voters, who will decide the winner. The top five finalists will receive a cash prize of $1,000, but only the winner will receive a cash prize of $10,000 and a deal to continue production of three more episodes of his or her winning show idea on AOL RED.
According to the site's website, www.beaREDstar.com, “We don't care if your talent is bizarre. We don't care if you like to dance around in a chicken suit. RED is searching for anyone ages 13 to 17 who wants to star in their own reality show. We're talking a show that's all about you: created by you, starring you and produced by you!”
"The sky is the limit in terms of creative direction for the show concepts -- talk shows, makeover shows, variety shows, reality shows, game shows, cooking shows -- all ideas are welcome," says Executive Producer Timothy J. Hamilton.
Those interested in applying can go to www.beaREDstar.com now to begin the application process. Completed applications must be submitted with a video postmarked by August 21, 2006, and received by August 28, 2006. No purchase necessary to enter or win. This contest is open only to legal residents of the 50 United states and the District of Columbia, between 13 and 17 years of age. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited.
Producers will select five finalists from eligible submissions and help them professionally produce one episode of their concept. These five shows will be placed online for viewers to decide who is most deserving of their own show. The person whose video gets the most votes will receive $10,000 and the opportunity to continue production of his or her own show on AOL RED.
