The Nomad Film Group has signed up-and-coming film and television star, Jennifer Sciole, for the role of Lily in their feature horror film "Beneath." Sciole will star alongside Taryn Manning (Hustle and Flow), Sean Patrick Flannery (Powder), and Brad Milne (The Slaughter). The film is set to begin principal photography in early October 2006 in Vancouver. Mark Tuit has been tapped to direct. Beneath is loosely based on Edgar Allan Poe's "The Premature Burial," the Saw-esque film is about a young female lawyer (Manning) who wakes up to find herself buried in a coffin. With only a cell phone, she finds that she is a pawn of a serial killers plan to murder past clients, some of whom were set free of the crimes on technicalities, some innocent, some guilty, all facing death. Sciole said "As soon as I read the script, I wanted to do this movie. It's one of those scripts that you can't put down for a second and you can't wait to turn the page to see what happens next." "I'm really excited about working with Mark Tuit, the director, and the producers." "I think that the cast is great, I'm looking forward to sharing the screen with Taryn, Sean, and Brad."
Sciole recently completed a role in Entourage episode 313, which is Vince's Birthday Party aboard the Queen Mary. Her character was Amber the Go Go. Sciole said; "Entourage is my favorite show on television and I have a couple of friends in the cast. I really wanted to be on the show, even in a small role. It was fun to do, the producers are fantastic, and Julian Farino is a great director." "I guess I could be called a true fan- I have the check framed on my office wall."
Sciole is signed to two more feature films from 2Brothers Productions that will begin shooting early next year, "Political Engagement," and "Flat Screen."
