Telecommunications and Financial-services Company rolls out automated 24-way signup program for its new GenieCard.

EasyTel.Net and Genie Bancor.Com announced today the launch of an automated enrollment program for its new GenieCard, a Visa-branded stored value-card usable at the millions of merchants that honor Visa and ATMs worldwide.

"Getting a credit card can be tough for some people," said Thomas Skala, CEO of InfoUSA's unified communications and electronic financial services subsidiaries, EasyTel.Net and Genie Bancor.Com. "Our GenieCard solves that problem, while adding lots of features that no one else offers. And our new automated signup process, systems developed by Genie Bancor, makes it a snap for everyone to qualify and to get their GenieCard."

Visitors to the EasyTel.Net website are presented with an extremely simple sign-up page, which offers the Genie Card based on two simple criteria. Applicants need only provide one of four forms of identification, and choose one of six methods of funding their new card.

"A Social Security number, driver's license, passport number, or the matricula number issued to legal guest workers is all that's needed to get started," Skala explained. "Then the applicant can choose to fund the card by debiting their existing GenieCard, debiting their Genie pre-paid calling account, charging a credit card, mailing in a check or money order, directly debiting their checking account, or printing out a deposit slip they can take to any participating bank. That's 24 ways to get a GenieCard!

When asked why someone might buy a prepaid GenieCard with a credit card or for that matter an existing GenieCard, Skala replied, "It's the perfect way to give money and the purchasing power of a Visa branded card to a child away at school, or a relative across country. Parents can give their student the convenience of a credit card, without putting their own credit standing at risk. Or, employers can easily reimburse their employees who are working in the field.

"The other payment methods are perfect for people who are not being served by the traditional banking community," Skala continued. "Being able to walk a deposit into a bank to reload your card whenever you want, or to debit your checking account is a major benefit to anyone who may be credit-challenged but still needs a Visa card to function in the modern, card-oriented world.

"With the GenieCard and our automated sign-up program, everyone qualifies for a powerful, Visa branded GenieCard in their wallet."
