Influential Culture Magazine KOTORI joins forces with major online underground culture website GetUnderground.com in historically influential merger!
GetUnderground.com - Creative Resistance Designed for the Emancipation of the Human Spirit. The major underground culture portal began by Shlomo Sher back in 2000 has done nothing but grow. There aren't very many people in the global community of artists, musicians, poets, and progressive thinkers that haven't heard of GetUnderground.com. With over 2 million hits per month and a subscriber base of over 25,000 people, it has been a major asset in pushing forward ideas that will push us forward.
Kotori Magazine - Future Music Art Politics Culture. Founded in 2003 by Wasim Muklashy, who has been writing for GetUnderground.com since 2002 and has served as the site's Music Editor since 2003, with Kotori, he wanted to provide a venue for progressive music art politics and culture, and felt the need to take the challenge of piercing the conservative veil in his efforts to push the magazine into major outlets including Borders, Tower, and Barnes&Nobles. After everything from near legal suits with a certain unnamed media conglomerate and uncharacteristically and unintentionally finding ourselves in the middle of the mountains chanting foreign words surrounded by coyotes and a sweatlodge on a recent New Years Eve...it happened.
And now, the two are officially married!!!
So there's going to be some changes coming, including a redesign and format, and will be integrating various multimedia formats including audio and video in the coming months. The focus and the goals will always be the same...to promote true quality and positively progressive culture. So bear with them as they ease you into a new era. It's going to be worth it!! This partnership only solidifies Kotori's online presence as well as GetUnderground.com's continual exponential growth. Things are about to get crazy!!!
