Association of Consultants to Nonprofits (ACN) Selects GetActive Software to Improve Member Services and Enhance Outreach with Members and Nonprofits
The Association of Consultants to Nonprofits (ACN) recently launched a newly designed website powered by GetActive Software that enables the organization to better serve its membership and the nonprofit community with an easy-to-use content management system and online tools to seamlessly integrate online and offline activities.
Berkeley, CA, and Chicago, IL (PRWEB) August 16, 2006 -- The Association of Consultants to Nonprofits (ACN) recently launched a newly designed website, http://www.acnconsult.org, powered by GetActive Software that enables the organization to better serve both its member consultants and the nonprofit community.
"By utilizing GetActive’s tools for website management, email marketing, and listserve management, we’re able to serve both our membership and the nonprofit community in new ways," said Chris Johnson, ACN President. "As a volunteer-run organization, ACN needed a solution that would easily enable multiple people with various levels of technical skill to add content to the website to keep the material fresh and inviting. Prior to using GetActive, there was no mechanism for one of our consultants to easily update his or her own online profile or listserve preferences, and adding a new consultant profile was a labor–intensive, manual process. Our members appreciate being able to edit their own profile page on their own time."
Johnson added, "For the first time in our history, we have a members-only area of our website where we can archive past editions of our newsletter and materials from our educational programs. We’ve also launched an e-newsletter targeted to the nonprofit community. GetActive’s robust email marketing capability will enable us to tailor the newsletter to the interests of the recipients and track response rates. We’ve barely scratched the surface in harnessing all of GetActive’s potential, and we look forward to continuing to find new ways to serve our members and the nonprofit community with this powerful tool."
"For nearly 20 years, ACN has provided critical resources to connect nonprofits and consultants on best practices and trends in the nonprofit community," said Sheeraz Haji, CEO of GetActive. "We are pleased to help ACN better serve its members and extend its reach through online communication tools to improve its web presence and seamlessly integrate online activities with offline systems."
