Nick Venturella Releases New Album Today

Folk/pop singer-songwriter Nick Venturella releases his fifth solo album, "SweetSonic", today (Tuesday August 15, 2006). On Saturday August 19, 2006 Venturella will celebrate the album's release with a CD release performance at Madison, Wisconsin's Cafe Montmartre.

(PRWEB) August 17, 2006 -- Madison, WI-based folk/pop singer-songwriter, Nick Venturella, released his fifth album, "SweetSonic", today, Tuesday August 15, 2006.

"SweetSonic", became available today via the artist's online store, www.cafepress.com/nickvmusic.

"SweetSonic", like Venturella's previous albums, was realized independently. Venturella completed the album’s writing, performing, recording, producing, and even artwork by himself at his home studio.

"SweetSonic" is an upbeat folk-rock/garage/pop album that tells short individual stories that are thread together by the battle of love—the good, bad, and ugly contained therein—verses the practicalities and distractions of everyday life that can get in the way and even hinder love. Musical influences present on the album include the Refreshments, the Beatles, Dashboard Confessional, Patty Griffin as well as Ryan Adams and others.

A CD release show for Venturella’s "SweetSonic" album will be held on Saturday August 19th, 2006 at Madison’s Café Montmartre. The show will begin at 8:00pm with fellow local artist, Sean Michael Dargan, opening the night. ($5.00 cover charge…must be 21+ to get in).
