The winner of the freeroll will receive a $7,500USD package which consists of a $5,000 buyin to the UK Poker Open and $2,500 for travel and accommodation
To be able to enter this tournament, players must first download Pacific Poker through the special links at PokerNews and create a new real money account. After players have made their first deposit (minimum $50), they must then earn 250 Pacific Poker Points before September 6 00:00 EST to be able to enter.
Players that have previously downloaded Pacific Poker through PokerNews.com are able to enter the UK Poker Open freeroll as long as they earn 250 points before September 6 00:00 EST. All eligible players will be sent an invite after this date.
The 2006 UK Poker Open will take place from September 25 to October 8 and will be held in Maidstone, UK. The unique format will see a field of 108 players divided into eighteen six-player heats, with each heat winner progressing to one of three Semi-Finals. The top two out of each Semi-Final will progress to the Final, where the winner will take away the lion’s share of the $500,000 prizepool.
