Atomic Direct’s DRTV Campaign Wins Insurance Industry Award for AAA of California

Atomic Direct announced that its “Drycleaner” DRTV campaign created for the California State Automobile Association (CSAA) won the “Best in Show – Television” award at the Insurance Marketing Communications Association (IMCA) 2006 awards show in San Francisco.

(PRWEB) August 18, 2006 -- Atomic Direct, Portland, OR, announced that its “Drycleaner” DRTV campaign created for the California State Automobile Association (CSAA) won the “Best in Show – Television” award at the Insurance Marketing Communications Association (IMCA) 2006 awards show in San Francisco.

“Drycleaner” was picked over a field which included Leo Burnett’s recent Allstate insurance spots from their NASCAR and “Better Place to Drive” campaigns which received “Awards of Excellence”.

Atomic Direct developed “Drycleaner” for brand agency BuderEngel of San Francisco on behalf of CSAA (AAA in Northern California, Nevada and Utah). The team at BuderEngel developed the “On You Go” brand work for CSAA. CSAA was founded in 1900 and is the oldest of the Automobile Association clubs.

“We were fortunate to start with an excellent brand vision from the CSAA/BuderEngel partnership,” observed Doug Garnett, president of Atomic Direct. “And as DRTV specialists, we’re particularly excited that our 60 second DRTV work was selected over traditional 30 second advertising.”

BuderEngel specializes in brand revitalization for clients including The Walt Disney Company, Monterey Bay Aquarium and The Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose. BuderEngel was founded by partners Wayne Buder and Vince Engel.

Atomic Direct is a boutique DRTV agency with a unique vision of how brand products can be advanced through DRTV. Atomic’s clients include CSAA, Dupont (Teflon), Rubbermaid, Alberto-Culver, the Drill Doctor and White’s Electronics. Atomic was founded in 1998 by former Tyee executive Doug Garnett.
