(PRWEB) August 20, 2006 -- 93.7 The Arrow is about to rock the art world with the second annual “93.7 The Arrow Classic Rock Art Show”, August 25 – 27, 2006 at the Memorial City Mall, I-10 & Gessner Road in Houston. The “93.7 The Arrow Classic Rock Art Show” is a rare collection of original art, lithographs, photographs, handwritten song lyrics, animation cels and more from the greatest rock artists of all time. The show is free and open to the public on Friday, August 25 and Saturday, August 26, from 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m., Sunday, August 27 from 12 Noon – 6:00 p.m. All works are available to purchase with a portion of the profits going to The Arbor School.
The “93.7 The Arrow Classic Rock Art Show” will showcase an amazing collection of works from Rock artists such as Paul McCartney, Jerry Garcia, John Entwistle (The Who), Jimi Hendrix, Ron Wood (Rolling Stones), Bob Dylan, Carlos Santana, David Bowie, Robby Krieger (The Doors), Tony Bennett, Jon Anderson (Yes), John Lennon, Ringo Starr, U2, John Mellencamp, Micky Dolenz and dozens more plus rock photographs from sessions including Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, Doors, Johnny Cash, Frank Sinatra and more. Classic photographers represented include: Baron Wolman, Rolling Stone Magazine’s first chief photographer, famed album cover photographer, Henry Diltz, celebrity photographer Francesco Scavullo and others. The “93.7 The Arrow Classic Rock Art Show” will also feature signed handwritten song lyrics, album cover artwork, gold records, Beatles animation cels, concert tour posters and more.
The “93.7 The Arrow Classic Rock Art Show” is the largest exhibit of its kind in the world and it’s only at the Memorial City Mall for one weekend.
