Parekh created history in 2006 by winning the EPPIE award for best poetry e-book, thereby entering the International EPPIE award winning lists for the first time as an Indian in the history of these prestigious awards . Parekh who is already in the Limca Book of Records 2006 Edition for his earlier record entry : ‘Most number of letters written to and received from World Leaders and World Organizations’—expresses his exultation at getting this 2nd Record by saying ‘It has always been my dream to be in the Book of Records since my very first breath, and now having 2 National Records for my poetry within the space of just 1 year with Limca Book makes me feel all the more blessed, accomplished, fortified and closer to my mission in life’.
