Local Actress Wins International Acting Award

LaShanna Price of Birmingham, Alabama was just one of over 1,000 contestants at the Millie Lewis Actors, Models and Talent Convention recently held in Orlando, Florida in July 2006. Winning Overall Female Actress has encouraged Price to capitalize on her AMTC success and relocate to L.A. to pursue her acting career.

Carrollton, GA (PRWEB) August 20, 2006 -- LaShanna Price of Birmingham, Alabama was just one of over 1,000 contestants at the Millie Lewis Actors, Models and Talent Convention recently held in Orlando, Florida in July 2006. Price won Overall Female Actress, was a finalist for Overall Female Commercial, and won 1st place in TV Commercial, Spokesperson, Sitcom and Monologue, garnering trophies and cash prizes along the way. Capitalizing on her AMTC success, Price is planning to relocate to L.A. to pursue her acting career.

The convention showcased incredible talent that was viewed by over 90 Agents, Casting Directors, Managers and Record Labels from around the world. The Millie Lewis Competition, which began in 1982, is hosted within a safe, family-oriented environment. As the world’s largest talent convention, the Millie Lewis AMTC offers aspiring artists informative seminars and workshops conducted by just a few of the most highly-respected professionals in the industry.

Notable AMTC starts include Mena Suvari (American Beauty), Mitch Holleman (Reba), Josh Strickland (Tarzan on Broadway), Roberto Sanchez (2 Fast, 2 Furious) and Diana DeGarmo (American Idol 2004 runner-up).

Price’s AMTC Director, Marion Webb of the Marion Model & Talent Agency based in Carrollton, GA, has been open for only a year and a half, and already has over 30 models and actors signed worldwide, including shooting star, Tayla Collins, who is signed with New York Models. The Millie Lewis convention is held bi-annually and Marion Model & Talent scouts throughout the West Georgia and Alabama areas.
