Local Multi-Media Agency Assists New Orleans Non-Profit
Global Media Guru, of Downingtown, chosen to create media plan, public service announcements, and more for New Orleans Non Profit that fell victim to Katrina.
Downingtown (PRWEB) August 20, 2006 -- As you may already know, Global Media Guru is the only local agency participating in the national CreatAthon, a creative outreach endeavor that cumulates with a 24-hour, no-sleep, work-around-the-clock, creative blitz. GMG is currently taking applications from area non-profits and will be underwriting five of them, to assist them on their creative needs.
However, the work is already beginning with staff and volunteers from as far away as Paris, as the CreatAthon national office brings national agencies together to work as a unit on one outreach project. This year, the CreatAthon office is again working with the victims of Katrina.
At this time, the GMG is proud to announce that they will underwrite and provide service to the Pyramid Community Parent Resource Center, of New Orleans, Louisiana.
The mission of Pyramid is to strengthen the community by reaching underserved families of children and young adults who have disabilities with the information, training and support they deserve to achieve to reach their potential.
The impact of Katrina destroyed Pyramids offices, meeting spaces and the staff members and the families they served were displaced in the natural tragedy. Their organizational allies have been weakened as well, and they work with great determination yet difficulty to support the parents who strive for an appropriate education in post-Katrina New Orleans.
Our agency will be helping them reach their goals of providing a new media plan, public service announcements, updating their brochures and posters, develop press releases and print ads.
The goal is to help Pyramid Community Parent Resource Center to inform the community of their services, help them creatively recreate a new and improved foundation, and educate the rights of community members as it relates to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
