Interact Pubic Safety Systems Adds to its Executive Management Team
Mark Castaneda joins Winston-Salem-based firm as Chief Financial Officer.
Winston-Salem, NC (PRWEB) August 22, 2006 –- InterAct Public Safety Systems, a leading supplier of public safety technology systems used by local, state, national and international government agencies, today announced that Mark Castaneda will join the executive management team as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Castaneda brings a strong background in finance, operational structuring, and mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Castaneda, age 42, joins InterAct from Pike Electric (NYSE: PEC), a $700+ million electrical transmission and distribution (T&D) construction and maintenance provider serving 19 states with over 6,500 employees, where he served as Chief Financial Officer. There he was responsible for the corporate planning, financial reporting and supervision of all finance and accounting functions ultimately leading the company through a successful initial public offering (IPO).
Prior to joining Pike, Mr. Castaneda served as the Chief Financial Officer and a director of Blue Rhino Corporation (NASDAQ: RINO), a $300 million high growth provider of propane tank exchange with over 30,000 locations in 50 states from October 1997 to September 2004. He also led Blue Rhino through a successful IPO and several subsequent private and public offerings of debt and equity, and led M&A activity including valuation, negotiation and implementation of transitional plans on over 30 acquisitions in his tenure.
Mr. Castaneda has also served as Vice President of Finance and the Chief Financial Officer for All Star Gas Corporation from 1995 until 1997, as Director of Planning and Controller of Skelgas Propane, Inc. from 1991 to 1995, and as a certified public accountant with Deloitte & Touche LLP from 1988 to 1990. Mr. Castaneda graduated from DePaul University with a B.S. in Accountancy and an M.S. in Taxation.
