Hertzler Systems announced its plans today to participate in two events in the Boston, Massachusetts, area during the third week of October, 2006.
Hertzler's President, Evan Miller, will present a paper at the American Society of Quality's North East Quality Conference (NEQC), held this year in Mansfield, MA, on October 17 & 18. This is the 56th year for the conference, and the theme is Quality + Productivity = Excellence.
Miller's paper focuses on the productivity of quality initiatives. Titled "Stopping the 'Six Sigma Data Shuffle' - How to put your best people on tasks that really matter, instead of massaging, scrubbing, manipulating data from here until next Sunday," the paper explains how most quality programs ignore the true cost of data and expect highly compensated star performers to 'do whatever it takes' to get good data. Often the result is a sub optimized system that retards the quality initiative. This presentation will examine one company's eight CTQs for a quality data system, and four alternatives they considered in meeting those requirements.
Hertzler Systems is also an exhibiting sponsor for the conference.
In the second event, Hertzler Systems will host its own one-day conference with the theme: "Advancing Better Decisions with Better Data." The conference will bring together Hertzler customers with Hertzler representatives for first-hand demonstrations of new product features, conversations about Hertzler Systems' direction, and the opportunity to network with neighbors and colleagues.
The "Advancing Better Decisions with Better Data" Conference will be held October 19, 2006, in Mansfield, MA. More information, including agenda, venue and registration information is available on the company's web site.
