Annual Energy Conference Fast Approaching

The International Energy Policy Conference to be held in Dallas, Texas this year will host energy industry leaders from around the world and will feature keynote speaker James A. Beck, Chairman of the Foundation for Energy Education and Former President of Seneca Resources. Fast approaching, event is shaping up to be best of 14 year history.

Tulsa, OK (PRWEB) August 28, 2006 -- “Energy will continue to be a driving force in today’s economic picture. This means that a strong energy policy is greatly needed to ensure our continued way of life,” said Mark Stansberry, Chairman and Founder of the annual International Energy Policy Conference and Chairman of The GTD Group. “We are definitely seeing good times in the energy industry, especially in the Oil & Gas sector. However, this is not the time to lay back and coast. We have a window of opportunity to make the necessary changes to our energy policy and educate the American public on these changes.”

The International Energy Policy Conference is a forum of industry executives that are vastly knowledgeable of the diverse topics that are encompassed in the energy sector. This year’s conference is the organization’s fourteenth and best yet, as anyone working with the event would tell you.

The Honorable Robert Jordan, former U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, is one of the notable speakers scheduled for the conference. Mr. Jordan was selected by President George W. Bush to serve as the United States Ambassador to Saudi Arabia at the most critical point in the history of the relationship between our two countries. After Senate confirmation, he served as ambassador from October 2001 through October 2003. After serving, Mr. Jordan has resumed his law career at Baker Botts in 2004. Mr. Jordan currently engages in an international business and dispute resolution practice. He has served as personal attorney to President George W. Bush and also has advised major corporations in shareholder litigation and in antitrust, corporate governance, and dispute resolution matters. He is a member of the American Arbitration Association International and Commercial Panels of Arbitrators, the National Panel of Distinguished Neutrals of the CPR International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution, and The London Court of International Arbitration. A member of the Council on Foreign Relations, he serves as president of the Dallas Committee on Foreign Relations and as a member of the board of directors of the John G. Tower Center for Political Studies.

This year’s conference will also feature keynote speaker James A. Beck, Chairman of the Foundation for Energy Education and Former President of Seneca Resources. Mr. Beck is also serving as Honorary Chairman of the Conference. This year’s theme is “America’s Energy Future: A Global Perspective.” The Energy Advocates, Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce, and the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers are serving as Co-Hosts. Dallas Energy Entrepreneur Ed Blessing of Blessing Petroleum is the 2006 Host Chairman for IEPC.
