Boston (PRWEB) August 28, 2006
Bullhorn, the global leader in On Demand staffing and recruiting software, today released the 2006 Compensation Trends research report. Sponsored by Bullhorn, the report covers the latest trends in staffing and recruiting professionals’ pay, compensation and benefits packages, which are likely to remain competitive and attractive as talent becomes harder to find and top organizations continue to place a premium on talent. “As the economy grows and demand for high quality workers increases, many companies turn to the recruiting and staffing industry for assistance, therefore driving demand for recruiting and staffing services and higher compensation,” said Art Papas, CEO and co-founder of Bullhorn. “Staffing and recruiting firms that employ an On Demand integrated front office solution are able to source and fill job orders at higher rates than their competitors, further driving sales productivity and compensation.”
Despite uncertain economic conditions and lower than average pay increases, staffing and recruiting professionals’ compensation is on the rise, increasing more than 10 percent in two years. While salaries varied greatly among survey participants, the average expected salary of staffing and recruiting professionals for 2006 was $82,000 (not including bonuses). In addition to increasing salaries, staffing and recruiting professionals are also receiving non-wage compensation. Comparatively, most other industries are seeing relatively slow wage increases (3-4 percent is the average) and decreasing benefits packages. Pay, benefits and bonuses vary greatly depending on experience, and recruiters who stay in the industry can make six digit salaries after only a few years. Nearly 500 staffing and recruiting professionals, from every industry throughout the U.S. and Canada, participated in the study, which was conducted during the second quarter of 2006.
The survey also found:
“The continued strong salary increases over the last few years are an indication of the value placed on [staffing] professionals’ contributions to the organization,” said Steve Williams, Director of Research at the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
