"The Swan Drama": The Children's Book Your Child Will Love, by Leah Hopkins, Kodaly & Orff Music teacher in Philadelphia

The Swan Drama was created to be used while listening to the music of Peter Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (PRWEB) August 27, 2006 -- a Philadelphia school teacher has pre-released autographed editions of her new book "The Swan Drama" at Amazon.com Auctions.

The story begins in the peaceful and Tranquil surroundings of the swans playfully swimming in a warm and safe environment. The black bird appears and the swans become startled, the invading bird leaves and the swans regain their composure and continue to play. The invading bird again returns with a few other birds to battle the swans.

The swans are beaten and discouraged, yet soon regain their strength and composure, and resume play.

The story line is sequenced to the music of Swan Lake.

Children aged three to eleven years have all enjoyed this story, as it has been read. The author, Ms. Leah C. Hopkins, created this story at first, to promote movement improvisation and music listening and appreciation among her students. The book has always been well received and with a resounding success. Children have danced and played the roles of the characters in the book to the accompanying music of Swan Lake.

The plot and character of the book both depict themes commensurate with positive life choices and survival through challenges.

The Swan Drama was final prepared in 2005 and published in 2006, and is the result of an on-going work of over seven years. The author, Ms. Leah C. Hopkins, has over twenty years experience as a music educator and is a KODALY and ORFF Certified Music Teacher for K-12.

The book is currently being translated into several different languages.
