Baby Boomer Women Express Views on Second Marriages
Baby Boomer Women around the world respond to the question, "Is marriage really better the second time around?" They also explain what they learned from their previous marriages and why they were willing to take the plunge again.
(PRWEB) August 28, 2006 -- The author of Whatever! A Baby Boomer's Journey Into Middle Age says baby boomer women are happy being married a second time. In her latest podcast, Beverly Mahone asked middle-aged women around the globe if their marriages were really better the second time around and why they were so willing to take the plunge again. She also asked how their blended families work.
Women from as far away as Australia responded to the survey. "The overwhelming response was positive," says Ms. Mahone. She adds the women indicated immaturity and selfishness as some of the major reasons why their first marriages ended in divorce.
"Surprisingly, all of the women who responded weren't eager to tie the knot a second time," according to Mahone, "but they say they put a lot of faith in God and their combined spirituality is what keeps them together.
Ms. Mahone personally relates to the topic for she is also a second marriage statistic. She and her husband met on the internet.
