The churches of believers are the last bastion of moral influence within this country

Psalm 11:3 faithfully describes the plea Peter Grasso sends out in his first book, In God We Betrayed (paperback, 1-60034-564-6; hardcover, 1-60034-565-4): "When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?" The book takes a complex look at the key contributing factors to this nation's current amoral societal mindset, from anti-Judeo-Christian deceptions and hoaxes to secular humanistic views. Grasso hopes the message will get this nation back on the track of "One Nation under God," an idea that once comprised the essence of this country.
"The churches of believers are the last bastion of moral influence within this country," says Grasso. "If we fail to take a stand towards national repentance and policy change, we will ultimately reap God's wrath as this country spirals toward the path of divine judgment."
A retired military officer, Grasso believes the trouble began with the 1947 Supreme Court ruling that "the walls of separation between church and state need to be high and impregnable." Those walls have continued to grow to impassable new heights. But before we can tear down these walls, we need to equip ourselves by formulating a plan of action. In identifying the reason for America's abandonment of its moral and God-centered foundation, Grasso has pinpointed some of the root causes to provide a viable plan of action for our country's spiritual well-being. Says Grasso, "I believe my mission in life is to expose these lies, to provide hope and guidance to the lost, and to rally to action those of faith to put God back on the throne within our country. That is my passion."
