Corporate Spa Getaways a Growing Trend for Businesses to Indulge, ReGroup and Socialize

Healthy corporate theme parties, with a slant on spa services, is a growing trend among today’s businesses.

BETHLEHEM, PA (PRWEB) August 30, 2006 -- Healthy corporate theme parties, with a slant on spa services, is a growing trend among today’s businesses. Those indulging in the relaxation of a spa getaway are groups such as the office of Dr. Ellen Field, who, once a year, books a party for her staff at TC Salon-Spa, formerly Technicolor Grand, with locations in Allentown and Bethlehem.

“Corporate bonding can happen at a pedicure chair or massage chair,” said Frank Shipman, owner of TC Salon and Spas, which earned a Diamond Award from DaySpa Magazine.

With air travel pricey with long lines at security check points, and the price of gas inflated, Shipman expects an increase in the day spa business for the remainder of 2006.

For corporations, such gatherings allow co-workers to come together for spa treatment and relaxation. Groups of varying sizes can be accommodated, with 30 to 40 employees being the largest group thus far. Guests can receive treatments together, or the group can be broken into smaller groups to engage in different activities, including manicures, pedicures, and massages. A festive dinner on site to conclude the evening often follows the treatments.

Spa get-togethers take place year-round; one group comes in monthly. These can be theme parties, such as Christmas or New Years parties, as Bethlehem is known for its Christmas spirit. TC Salon earned a Diamond Award from Day Spa Magazine in December, 2005. Named one of the top 200 hair salons in the United States by Salon Today Magazine TC Salon-Spa (formerly Technicolor) is an internationally recognized salon and spa with locations in Allentown and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Technicolor re-branded its name to become TC Salon- Spa in the fall 2005 to better define its growing list of services. Owner Frank Shipman first opened the 2,500 square foot Technicolor Salon in Allentown 1996. In October 2001, Shipman launched a full service 12,500 square foot location in Bethlehem.
