With people around the world embracing their heritage and eager to learn more, The Challah Connection announces a wonderful gift for those wanting to embrace their Jewish customs.
“I have recently begun rediscovering my Jewish heritage and am trying to learn all I can about the food, traditions and celebrations. Growing up, my family didn’t celebrate our Jewish traditions very often, but now that I have my own children, I want to instill in them what it means to be Jewish,” states Marissa Posen, 40, from Florida.
In business for over 10 years, The Challah Connection, a Jewish gift and gift basket company that reflects Jewish traditions, recently recognized that among their customers and prospects, there is a strong interest in the meaning and traditions behind the various holidays and that there is a hunger for more information.
It was the desire to provide their customers -- both Jewish and not Jewish -- with a strong understanding of the traditions, which spurred the creation of Celebrating Jewish Holidays With The Challah Connection. This informative and enjoyable book is full of useful information that many will appreciate.
“Our business has really evolved over the past few years. We have witnessed a real desire by people to understand the traditions of their culture. This new book, free with all purchases of $75 or more, helps our customers who are purchasing Jewish gifts for themselves or others to enhance their understanding,” explains Jane Moritz, owner of The Challah Connection.
“So far our customers have enthusiastically embraced the free gift. The book covers several topics including an overview of each of the seven major Jewish holidays; what they are, their significance and traditions, suggested holiday menus, celebrating and gift giving tips, favorite recipes and a holiday calendar and traditions section,” she comments.
Moritz is thrilled that others like herself are rediscovering their heritage and celebrating the Jewish traditions. Growing up in a house with parents of both Sephardic and Ashkenazi descent, Moritz had a unique opportunity to experience both types of traditional Jewish food. She honed her own skills and developed a lifetime love and passion for Jewish food and traditions while spending time in the kitchen her mother, mother-in-law and grandmother-in-law. Nowadays, she works hard to impart the same love for these traditions to her three sons, ages 10, 14 and 16.
“A friend told me about The Challah Connection. I recently visited their online store and chose a Jewish gift for my grandmother. I am excited to delve into my free book and learn more the traditions and celebrations of the Jewish people,” Posen concludes.
