Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) August 30, 2006
Bedford at Falls River hires event planner Shelley Quinney as activities director to organize programs for the community’s recreation center.
Quinney has worked in event planning for the past 15 years. She coordinated product rollouts and motivational employee appreciation days for hundreds of major North Carolina corporations.
“Even though she’s just started with Bedford, it feels as if she’s been here since the beginning,” said Dawn Forrest, director of marketing for Wakefield Development Company. “Shelley has come up with incredible activities for every age group at Bedford.”
Quinney attended the University of Missouri and was the co-owner and president of an event planning business with her husband. She has lived in Raleigh for the past 20 years with her husband and three children.
Bedford, a Wakefield Development Company community located in North Raleigh, offers its residents numerous innovative amenities including sand volleyball, tennis courts, basketball courts, two pool areas, parks and playgrounds, a rock-climbing wall and a Farmer’s Market.
“The southern charm that originally brought me to the Raleigh area is still alive as evidenced by the warm welcome I have received from the Bedford residents,” said Quinney.
The Bedford Recreation Center provides a communal area for residents of the neighborhood to gather. The clubhouse is 3,500 square feet, available for private use for family gatherings and community parties. The pool in the community offers a competition swimming area and appeals to children with the 15-foot high waterslide.
