Red Scream Films LLC and Eerie Productions have partnered to produce a feature horror film. The film, titled "FrightWorld", is being shot in Eerie Production's Frightworld, a dark ride amusement featuring five different haunted houses, live costumed actors and state of the art special lighting and sound effects.

I think this is a first. I do not know of any other film and dark ride companies coming together to produce a movie based on the dark ride. You can watch FrightWorld the Movie, then go to Frightworld the Amusement.

Red Scream Films LLC and Eerie Productions have partnered to produce a feature horror film. Both companies are based in Buffalo, New York. The film, titled "FrightWorld", is being shot in Eerie Production's Frightworld, a dark ride amusement featuring five different haunted houses, live costumed actors and state of the art special lighting and sound effects.

"We were shooting additional material for a film and needed a location," said David R Williams, CEO of Red Scream Films LLC and the producer, writer and director of FrightWorld. "David Gray of DavidGray FX suggested Frightworld. The moment I stepped into the place, I knew we had to make a movie there. Even in the middle of the day, with nothing turned on and standing with a large group of people, the place still scared me."

Frightworld has been in business since 2000. It attracts over 25,000 haunted house and horror fans from all over the northeast United States and Southern Ontario Canada each year. Frightworld features five different haunted houses with new attractions added each year. Frightworld is open from the first week in September to Halloween.

“Frightworld is the place to be in October, it’s truly gives you the ultimate Halloween experience, we take pride on giving our customer’s an incredible and unique performance each year. We are honored and privileged to be teamed up with Red Scream Films, and their huge core of talented people,” said Ron Doherty, co-owner of Frightworld.

"Like Frightworld the attraction, FrightWorld the movie will be a real thrill ride with nonstop action and all sorts of chills and thrills," Williams said, "We didn't have to do a thing to Frightworld to make it work for the movie. Ron and Jason and their team have designed and built a location that rivals anything I've seen in any horror film with ten times the budget."

Williams added, "I think this is a first. I do not know of any other film and dark ride companies coming together to produce a movie based on the dark ride. You can watch FrightWorld the Movie, then go to Frightworld the Amusement."

Red Scream Films LLC specializes in horror feature films for the domestic and foreign home entertainment markets. Their first film, Prison of the Psychotic Damned was shot on location in the Buffalo Central Terminal, an abandoned train terminal rumored to be haunted. That film is scheduled for a Fall 2006 DVD release.
