Vialect has announced the release of version 5.6 of it’s popular Intranet software.

Highlights of the new features in the 5.6 release include:

Active Directory Synchronization

intraNET administrators can now sync up users that are located within their active directory database to the intraNET user database. This solves the problem of users having multiple usernames and password for different resources.

Drag and Drop File Transfers

intraNET users can now highlight files from their local PC folders and simply drag them to the intraNET interface. This makes the process of moving content in and out of the intraNET effortless.

Editing Documents on the fly within the browser

With V5.6 a document can be opened, and edited on the fly without having to manually download the file. This allows companies to store and edit all important company documents in one central location.

View local PC files within document manager interface

In this release the document manager application was greatly improved by adding a local view. When the local view is enabled users can browse their local PC files while within the intraNET interface. Users can also drag selected files from the local view into the intraNET.

French Language Support

French language support was added to intraNET.

Pricing & Availability

intraNET V5.6 is available now in both traditional software package and as an ASP monthly rental service. Pricing starts as low as $1225 for the software and $49 per month for the ASP service. A free 30 day trial is now available from the Vialect website.
