SellyourCell.com Announces What Not to Do with Used Cell Phones
You sure don't want to give it to your dog or your angry girlfriend, and you'd prefer not to have it catch bullets... so what are you supposed to do with a used cell phone?

What NOT to do with a Used Cell Phone:
Don't give it to a pet dog: In 2004 the Andolou news agency reported that a dog in Turkey swallowed his owner’s cell phone. The owner, a service station attendant, thought that a customer had taken it until he dialed the number and much to his chagrin discovered his pet was ringing. The dog “returned” the phone the next day.
Don't give it your significant other during an argument: In December 2005, Blue Springs, MO, police were called to the home of a man who said his girlfriend was having trouble breathing. Paramedics discovered a complete cell phone lodged in her throat, which was later removed by surgeons. There is some debate in this case as to whether the woman placed it in her throat intentionally to hide her recent call list, as the boyfriend claims, or it was placed there against her will by her boyfriend, which she contends. In any event, in does not appear that cell phones are beneficial to lover’s quarrels.
Don't disobey when it says you’ve had enough to drink: LG Electronics will be launching the LP4100 cell phone in the U.S. shortly which is equipped with, yes, a breathalyzer. LG says they have sold 200,000 of them in Korea and they expect it will be a hit here too. Interestingly the phone will also allow users to block certain phone numbers from being dialed if their blood alcohol level is too high. Maybe the couple above could have used this.
Don't use it as body armor… unless you really have to: In January 2006 police in Crystal River, FL reported that John Stephens was shot by an unknown person, and that the cell phone in his shirt pocket stopped the bullet and saved his life. Mr. Stephens may need a new cell phone, but we bet he’s not complaining too much.
