Residents, Tourists Benefit from New InTheHeartOf Online Communities

Towns of Stamford, Oakham, Spalding, Bourne and The Deepings added to InTheHeartOf network featuring communities in the United Kingdom. Owned and operated locally, the Web sites act as information portals, providing details about area attractions, events, businesses, shopping, government, night life and more, while supporting local causes through donations of profits.

(PRWEB) September 4, 2006 -- The United Kingdom is now easier to navigate online, thanks to the addition of five neighboring communities to the InTheHeartOf national network of Web sites.

The towns of Stamford, Oakham, Spalding, Bourne and The Deepings are now represented online, according to Alan Rayner, owner and operator of Total Net Studio, a Web design company based out of South Lincolnshire and Rutland.

Rayner has purchased the franchise rights to operate the five sites found at http://www.intheheartof.co.uk.

He said the sites serve a valuable purpose in the communities they serve, assisting visitors to the area and residents, alike.

“Everybody wants to feel closer to others in their communities - to feel more like friendly neighbors, and not strangers. By keeping the Web sites up-to-date with all the information residents and visitors to the area want, the sites help attain a sense of belonging to all,” he said. “Every person is kept in-the-know about local news, events, businesses, shopping, night life and what is going on with local government. Plus, supporting our sites through advertisements allows us to give back to our communities through a donation of profits.”

Rayner moved to Lincolnshire six years ago and immediately felt all alone. There was a lack of information, he noted.

“I did not know where to go to find information about what was happening locally, where to go or stay or eat, when to plan a shopping trip or visit a neighboring town,” he remembered. “It was often difficult to determine when was best to go and what to see, because there was not a single source of information available. The InTheHeartOf network fills this void, while allowing me to give something back to the community-at-large.

“The sites are operated with a new business ethic on a not-for-profit basis,” Rayner said. “Part of my profits will be donated back into local community projects, charities and good causes. Currently, we are sponsoring advertising for The British Heart Foundation.

The sites also offer a valuable opportunity for businesses to gain exposure through advertisements, he added.

Businesses may advertise at three-tiered levels: standard advert, spot light advert and top spot light advert. The costs range from £9.95 to £29.95 per month.

“This is low-cost, high profile advertising that is guaranteed to reach the local community while gaining high ranking on search engines such as Google,” Rayner said.

All advertisers get a full page advertisement -- a one-page Web site featuring in-depth information about the business. These sites feature text and images, plus audio and video messages, and are designed by professionals who have specialist search engine optimization experience and national coverage via the InTheHeartOf networked area sites.

“This is a great deal for the businesses,” he said. “Not only are they gaining local and national exposure, but they can feel good about the money they spend, because it will go back into the local community.”

Rayner said he is currently offering an introductory two-for-one promotion for advertisers. Purchase space on one town site, and choose another town to place your advertisement completely free of charge.
