Shane Jandro who won his spot in the World Series of Poker via a $7 satellite on LondonPokerClub.com beat out over 8,000 players to finish “in the money” on the world of poker’s grandest stages. Shane placed 655 in the WSOP and ended up walking away with $19,050.
Shane Jandro began playing Texas hold ‘em for fun with his friends on guy’s night out gatherings developed a liking to the fun competitive nature of the game of Poker. Soon there after, he discovered poker online and logged into http://www.LondonPokerclub.com. As his first online gaming experience and practicum, he expressed he was able to play with a variety of different people from all over the world.
“London Poker Club.com really got my attention and interest with their enticing inexpensive online tournaments,” says Jandro.
Shane was attracted to the first tournament he entered, a $7 satellite tournament which began with 50 players. “I had never played in such a tournament, so I figured for $7 why not give it a try,” states Jandro.
Shane placed 2nd in the $7 satellite out of 50 people and was automatically entered into the next satellite tournament of $60. He placed in the top 3, an automatic upgrade to the third and final tournament to be entered into the WSOP in Las Vegas. Shane played amazingly and placed 2nd out of 354 people, at this point in Shane’s life this was the biggest tournament he had ever played in. “I love to play poker, and from the first day I started playing online, I always dreamed of playing in the WSOP” says Shane. Now Shane was automatically entered again into the third and final round of the tournament for a chance to play in the WSOP. The last $200 satellite consisted of a prize to the entrance into the WSOP. Shane won 1st place in the last and final tournament.
“I was shocked and extremely excited!” says Shane “I had been following the big names of the WSOP from previous years! And now I would be actually playing with these people!”
The prize for winning first place in the third round of the tournament was entrance into the WSOP also part of the winning package complimentary of Londonpokerclub.com was $12,500. $10,000 entry fee to the WSOP and $2,500 spending money. Along with paid hotel accommodations for the duration of Shane’s stay in Las Vegas. Shane Arrived in Las Vegas on July 30th, 2006 and was scheduled to play on July 31st, 2006 at 12 pm. “I was very nervous the first day, but after an hour I started to feel more comfortable,” states Shane.
Shane Jandro played considerably well for his first time in a large tournament by placing 655 out of 8,754 odd people. Shane won a total amount of $19,050. Placing 655 put Shane in the top 10 % of players who played in the largest tournament in the world.
