McCarthy and Doheny Join Senior Staff of Health Strategies & Solutions, Inc

Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) September 2, 2006 -- Health Strategies & Solutions, Inc., a leading health care management consulting firm headquartered in Philadelphia, Pa., has added two new principals, Kathleen H. McCarthy and Justin E. Doheny, to their senior staff of health care planners.
McCarthy has joined the firm’s strategic planning team and clinical program planning practice, bringing a broad range experience as a hospital executive and management consultant. Prior to joining Health Strategies & Solutions as a principal, she served as vice president for planning and marketing for two health care organizations over an 11-year period and was a health care consultant with Coopers & Lybrand for seven years. A graduate of the Medical College of Virginia with a master’s degree in hospital administration, Kathy also has a bachelor of science degree in marketing and management from Siena College in Loudonville, New York.
Doheny is serving as a principal with the Health Strategies & Solutions’ strategic, business, and financial planning team. During his 30-year career as a management consultant and health care executive, he has developed expertise in organizational restructuring and operations, productivity, and financial performance improvement. Doheny served as president of a New Jersey hospital for 10 years and as executive vice president and chief operating officer of a university hospital for three years. He also spent 10 years in various management positions at academic medical centers. A lecturer for several universities, he has a master’s degree in health care administration from the University of Minnesota and an undergraduate degree from the College of the Holy Cross. Doheny is a diplomate of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
