How do you Get Noticed in the Ocean of Gift Baskets During the Holiday Season?
Tired of clients not even thanking you for the expensive holiday gift that you send off? Try re-thinking your corporate gift strategy.
(PRWEB) September 2, 2006 -- Sometimes just the usual fruit or food basket will not do. Many wealthy clients receive several often of the exact same basket – and don’t even bother to thank you for the gift.
So do you have to pay a fortune for that special corporate holiday gift that will get you noticed?
Not necessarily says Founder Rikke V. Landi of Manhattan-based Ugly Duckli LLC. “When it comes to corporate gift giving it truly is the personal touch that counts. Look for unique packaging solutions with content that stands out. But don´t waste your money on hugely expensive baskets.”
Upon request, Ugly Duckli will be accepting corporate gift basket orders this fall.
Their signature wrapping is authentic cheese boxes, crafted from wood veneer and fastened together with tacks and nails. When delivered, the box is wrapped in thick, red ribbon. And the personal greeting inside the basket is delivered in a rich, red cloth envelope.
“The personal greeting really is the most important part of the basket,” says Landi, and adds that “at Ugly Duckli we send out the cards and cloth envelopes to our clients for them to personally write and then return them to us to be included in each gift basket."
The suppliers of content for the Ugly Duckli corporate gift baskets must pass two stiff tests: They must have been awarded for their product design and they must have sufficient products available so that Ugly Duckli can also accept large size orders.
“Many of our suppliers are award-winning Scandinavian design companies and sold only in museum stores such as at MOMA in New York,” says Landi and points to one of Ugly Duckli´s baskets called “Let´s Go Nuts”.
The unique basket contains a “nut hammer” designed by Danish Eva Solo, shelled hazel- and walnuts, tea lights and matches.
“Our clients absolutely love this one,” says Landi. “To use the nut hammer you put a nut (any type of shelled nut) in the metal bowl and give it a firm blow with the hammer. The polished metal bowl rests on shock-absorbent rubber, so the blow won´t be transmitting to the underlying surface. The hammer handle? It is made of walnut. Of course."
