SafetyXChange Upgrades its Online Community for Safety Professionals and Increases Access to Quality Resource Material

Online community for safety professionals undergoes makeover, retaining free quality resource material and adding new services.

Stamford, CT (PRWEB) September 5, 2006 -- SafetyXChange.org (http://www.safetyxchange.org), the leading online community and resource center for tens of thousands of safety professionals, has had a makeover.

“Since our launch in 2005, SafetyXChange has published hundreds of free articles on everything from how to get employees to report near misses to what to do in case of an OSHA inspection,” says Glenn Demby, Editor-in-Chief of SafetyXChange.org. “We’re the first place many safety professionals turn to for advice, information, templates and fresh ideas. We’ve fallen in love with our members and we think they’ve done the same with us. But we want to add some spice to the relationship. Now we want to look as good as we sound.”

While the new SafetyXChange website contains the same quality material that members have come to expect from the old site, including a forum, career advice, Tools, checklists and networking opportunities, it is now a lot more attractive. But it’s not just about cosmetics. SafetyXChange has also added a new dimension of value and is now a gateway to safety products, partners in safety and even a directory that will help safety managers find all that they need to improve their safety culture.

“It’s all about accessibility,” says Demby. “Our mandate is to be a one-stop resource center for those in the challenging profession of safety. We’re here to make the safety manager’s job easier and we think that our revised site will do just that.”

Some of the material on SafetyXChange.org comes from its advisory board, including top safety experts Mark Hansen, Richard Hawk and behavior-based safety pioneer Michael Topf. Other articles are written by the readers themselves, safety coordinators or managers, sharing their advice and techniques.

“It’s a true safety community resource center. And we’re not finished yet,” says Demby. “In the next few months, we’ll be improving our search features and introducing more free services.”
