(PRWEB) September 3, 2006 -- Cath Garden, a talented horse whisperer and experienced equine consultant from New Zealand, has joined The Natural Leadership Centre in The Cotswolds. This will considerably strengthen their coaching team to enable them to offer rewarding opportunities for those looking for new careers training horses and developing people. She will be helping their development as one of the UK’s leading natural leadership and horsemanship training centres. More details of their work can be seen by watching their film at http://www.horsejoy.com/movie-trailer.htm.

Cath has been breaking horses and training them and their riders since she was 11. She brings over 20 years of experience both in the handling and development of young and ‘problem’ horses combined with a successful competitive career in dressage, jumping and other disciplines. She is qualified as a New Zealand Equestrian Federation level 2 Coach.

Cath has travelled extensively in her career and has a wealth of international knowledge including spells in Europe, the Far East and her native New Zealand. She recently managed an equestrian centre in Indonesia and has taught in Dubai, Jordan and the UK, at riding schools and private clinics. She has worked with many leading figures such as New Zealand’s Tina Reed and Andrew Scott. She also speaks fluent Italian.

The Natural Leadership centre has developed a range of training programmes to help those interested in a career that is a little different to standard rider instruction but still involves working with horses. They also train the horses and help them extend their working life. Many horses retire whilst still relatively young and their owners often struggle to find ways to keep them active. Re-training for a career in natural horsemanship has proved a very successful alternative for many.

Paul Hunting, the founder of the centre, comments ‘Cath brings us a wealth of skills and we’re delighted she has chosen to join us. Her specialist knowledge of problem horses and finding solutions to improve their behaviour coupled with her rider training abilities gives us great scope for growth.’
