Papa Gino’s and Tedy Bruschi will team up this fall to promote the pizza chain’s “Crowd Pleaser Campaign” and to support Bruschi’s Tedy’s Team, an organization dedicated to raise funds through donations and athletics sponsorships for the American Stroke Association and Train to End Stroke Foundation. Papa Gino’s will donate $20,000 to the cause.

Bruschi replaces Vinatieri as Papa Gino’s New England Patriots spokesperson and will immediately make his presence known through Papa Gino’s “Crowd Pleaser Campaign.” The ads, created by Boston-based Gearon Hoffman, feature the New England Patriots Linebacker ordering a Papa Gino’s Crowd Pleaser, which consists of two meal deals. The Crowd Pleaser has two options, one large and one small cheese pizza and the choice of an entrée salad, cinnamon sticks or toasted ravioli or a second option of two large cheese pizzas and choice of an entrée salad, cinnamon sticks or toasted ravioli. The promotion will coincide with the beginning of football season and run through December 3, 2006.

“We’re thrilled to have Tedy Bruschi as our spokesperson and to support Tedy’s Team,” said Michael McManama, Senior Vice President of Brand Development. “Tedy is a quality person and athlete, who strives to make a difference by raising funds for the American Stroke Association and Train to End Stroke Foundation.”

The advertising campaign will hit the airwaves on the second week of September and will include television, radio and print advertising. The inspiration for the campaign is to play up on Bruschi’s “crowd-pleasing” nature.

“I’m thrilled to have Papa Gino’s as a sponsor of Tedy’s Team,” said Tedy Bruschi, New England Patriots Linebacker. “Papa Gino’s is a quality, family-oriented, caring organization, and I’m proud to represent them.”

Tedy’s Team

Tedy Bruschi, New England Patriots linebacker and three-time Super Bowl Champion, has joined forces with the American Stroke Association and Train to End Stroke to help tackle the death and disability caused by stroke. Stroke is the number one cause of disability and the number three cause of death in the United States. Tedy’s Team raises funds through donations, and through athletes that raise funds by participating in sporting events throughout the region. Tedy’s Team will be participating at the 2007 Boston Marathon on Monday, April 16, 2007.
