In recognition of its creative approach to graphic design, Kissimmee Utility Authority’s 2005 annual report and power plant poster were honored on Thursday with awards of excellence in the 2006 American Graphic Design Awards.
Sponsored by Graphic Design:usa magazine, the American Graphic Design Awards honor new, outstanding graphic design, advertising art and marketing communications. The awards program is judged by a national panel of creative professionals hailing from prominent graphic design firms, advertising agencies and corporate design departments.
KUA's 48-page annual report -- titled "A Lifetime of Power" -- pays tribute to the utility's Roy E. Hansel diesel plant which was decommissioned in September 2005 after 104 years of continuous service. The report is available online at http://www.kua.com/Corporate/Press/Reports/Index.aspx.
