Lore’s art grasps the strong intensity of the best of Japanese anime art.
Her series of African masks conveys the same strength of character of the individuals that were once amazing warriors in a remote tribe of SE Africa.
Lore Eckelberry’s interpretation of this ancient traditional design, introduces a brilliant contemporary twist on African masks.
“Cool! Awesome!” is the general opinion of the youth that have seen the striking combination of colors in the paintings.
Portraying a strong emotional expression of the characters g with the large scale work, Lore Eckelberry’s exhibition includes a great series of smaller size paintings the are large in strength of emotional expression. From blues, anger, shock, anxiety and full-on attitude.
The show will run from the 1st to the 25th of September, with an artist reception on the 14th of September from 6pm to 10pm.
