New Jersey Author, Journalist Trish Reynolds Announces New Lecture Series
Retirement for this baby boomer doesn't mean life is a beach! Author, journalist, lecturer Trish Reynolds is busier than ever since taking "early retirement" from her corporate job!
Mount Olive, NJ (PRWEB) September 2, 2006 -- One would expect that retirement from the corporate world meant something like, sitting on a hot beach sipping cold margaritas, or finding a nice place by the fire and making grandchildren fat on home-baked oatmeal cookies.
Well, that isn’t how it worked out for writer, Trish Reynolds when she accepted an ‘early retirement’ package from her Fortune 500 employer a few years ago. For her, as for so many of today’s baby boomers, ‘retirement’ became the opportunity to explore that other career, the one you might have had if demands of family and finances had not interfered all those years ago. For Reynolds, it meant becoming a novelist and journalist.
“I think the key is keeping busy, not slowing down too much. The difference now is that I have the luxury of doing what I want to do, not what will pay the most or offer the most security,” she said recently. With 5 published novels to her credit and a “day job” as the editor of two New Jersey local Weekly Newspapers, she certainly seems to be doing so.
Now that the third book in her epic fantasy series, Seeker’s Quest III, The Dragons’ Legacy, has been released, Reynolds is happy to be able to open her schedule and offer a number of interesting and timely lectures, seminars and workshops.
From talks entitled Magic: An Overview of the Dark Arts to a light hearted look at dragons through the ages and a more serious seminar on the revival of so called occult belief systems, Reynolds has something that is sure to enlighten, entertain or annoy almost everyone, but most of all she will make you think!
Reynolds is an experienced lecturer, story teller and teacher of the craft. She has a wealth of experience on which to draw and loves nothing more than sharing that experience with others.
“There is something very special about being able to watch the light go on as someone realizes they have true potential,” she said. “There is so much misinformation out there, that it is really important for me to let people discover what it true and what isn’t for themselves.”
Reynolds, a working New Jersey journalist, is the author of a series of paranormal romances published collectively as The Doctor and the Witch and an epic fantasy series, Seeker’s Quest, with the third book being recently released. Her work can be found at Amazon.com and through fine book stores everywhere.
