Why Now is the Best Time to Start a Lawn Care Business

Make the next two months profitable for lawn care businesses by getting great lawn care business contracts. Don't tuck tail and wait until next year to make money.

Austin, TX (PRWEB) September 3, 2006 -- William Feller of www.mowingformoney.com says that next 2 months could get your lawn care business into hypergrowth, if you are prepared.

A lot of lawn care business operators think that because the summer is winding down that the prospects of picking up new business is fading away also.

Suppose that a building was finished being built in September of 1990
Nothing could be further from the truth.

"Suppose that a building was finished being built in September of 1990", says Mr. Feller, of www.mowingformoney.com "The building manager at the time had to get someone to take care of the property right away. Don't let that new landscaping just die because it's the end of the season"

That building may have had a lawn care contract started in Septemebr and possibly renew every year in the month of September, just because that's when it was brought "online".

Now think about how many commercial properties there are in your community. One has no way of knowing when their lawn care contracts come up for renewal unless they are constantly prospecting.

Don't assume that all lawn care business contacts come up for renewal in the Spring. If they, as a lawn care business owner take full advantage of the extra down time in the fall and winter to do some serious "knocking on doors" it could pay off big time.

Getting new business is a year round effort that requires getting in front of the decision makers.

William Feller is a former State Board Member of the Texas Association of Landscape Contractors and owner of www.MowingForMoney.com a resource for lawn care business operators.
