The Style Stars Global Hair Contest has announced the top ten finalists in its worldwide hairstyle competition.

Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) September 6, 2006 -- The Style Stars Global Hair Contest has announced the top ten finalists in its worldwide hairstyle competition.

Since the contest launched on January 1st, 2006, hair stylists from around the globe have been submitting their entries. Now the judging panel has narrowed down the list of finalists to these ten stylists:

To get to this stage of the judging, contestants submitted three before images and three after images, as well as a short essay. They were judged on technique, the harmony between cut, color and texture, and the overall creative approach.

All ten finalists now proceed to the next stage of the contest that will determine the grand prize winner, to be announced on September 15, 2006.

The winner will receive a prize package valued at over $150,000, including:

Wide exposure in various Harris Publications hair magazines.

Exposure on Total Image magazine.

Exposure on Modern Salon magazine with a circulation of over 127,000.

Two airline tickets to anywhere in the world, courtesy of n-fruizon Body Therapy.

Training in hair techniques by Great Lengths Hair Extensions and Balayage By Siggers Hairdressers of Atlanta.

Training in salon management.

Cash prizes.

A trip for two to Miami.
