Dan Clark Joins Resources For Living as Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer

Seasoned industry executive charged with expanding and accelerating delivery of company’s integrated, outcomes-based behavioral health services.

Austin, TX (PRWEB) September 5, 2006 -- Resources For Living (RFL), pioneering providers of outcomes-based behavioral health counseling and coaching, today announces the hiring of Dan Clark as Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. In this role, Clark will lead all marketing and sales strategies and initiatives with the goal of expanding the full array of RFL’s behavioral health services and increasing the already-broad embrace of the company’s outcomes-based delivery model.

“Dan comes to us with a unique combination of clinical training and senior-level marketing and product development experience,” said Wayne Parchman, RFL’s President and CEO. “Today, more organizations are demanding accountability from all their benefits providers—and want to see services correspond to quantifiable gains in the way of workforce productivity and/or reductions in healthcare claims costs. This is precisely why our outcomes-based model has been so successful, and why with Dan’s experience and leadership we are poised for dynamic growth in the months ahead.”

“I’ve long admired the breadth of RFL’s behavioral health and wellness services, as well as its innovative use of technology (RFL’s SIGNAL system) to assure their effective and swift delivery,” said Dan Clark. “I look forward to working with a talented management team and a highly qualified staff of counselors and technicians as we continue to expand our services and further establish RFL’s outcomes-based model as, quite simply, the best there is.”

Clark is a trained clinician and comes to RFL with years of senior level experience within the Behavioral Health, Disability, and Absence Management arena. Dan has held positions at Aetna, CIGNA, UnumProvident, and Value Options in a variety of capacities. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology/pre-medicine from Baylor University, a Master of Arts degree in counseling psychology from Dallas Baptist University, and has worked as a certified rehabilitation counselor.

RFL has expanded its service offerings in recent years to include wellness initiatives, disease management services, and comprehensive obesity treatment programs—all of which are delivered via RFL’s outcomes-based service model, enabled by its proprietary SIGNAL(SM) system (Statistical Indicators of Growth, Navigation, Alignment, and Learning). SIGNAL is an online “treatment relationship management” system that facilitates ongoing assessments of the appropriateness and effectiveness of the counseling services delivered. Each counseling session is systematically recorded in the SIGNAL database; client responses are captured and progress is represented in detailed easy-to-read charts. SIGNAL enables counselor and client alike to track and document progress, while continually refining treatment to maximize positive outcomes.
