MySpace Page Creates Unique Bond with Board Game Fans
Wiggity Bang Games has created a new MySpace page to connect with teens and generation x consumers. The new MySpace page gives fans an opportunity to communicate directly with the creators and see, watch and hear responses immediately.
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) September 19, 2006 -- Wiggity Bang Games, makers of the award winning board game Quelf (http://www.quelf.com), officially announced the launch of their MySpace page to connect with fans of the game.
The new MySpace page features a description of the game, a documentary video of the creators of Quelf at Comic Con International, comments and forums from consumers about the game and a corporate blog run by the CEO of Wiggity Bang Games, Matthew Rivaldi.
One young contact from the MySpace page has created a short video documentary about the game and Wiggity Bang Games was able to connect with this amateur film-maker through MySpace. "We would have never met this director if the video wasn't posted on MySpace, now we have a one-on-one relationship with this fan and we've been able to connect," say Matthew Rivaldi, founding member and CEO of Wiggity Bang Games.
The young director, Hana Theobald (who goes by the online name Jinx Extraordinaire) says, "Filming my first ever session of Quelf was just something I decided to do, with no prior knowledge or thought that the video would later be viewed by other Quelf fans on YouTube.com and MySpace.com." Later, when Wiggity Bang Games contacted her and thanked her for the flattering video, she responded, "I was a bit shocked to recieve a message from Matthew, the CEO of Wiggity Bang Games. At first, I thought it might have been a joke from one of my friends who were embarassed or perhaps slightly upset at me for showing our Quelf game to the Internet world. I guess I couldn't believe that my little movie could ever reach someone like that. It is quite exciting, and fun to interact with the few other people I've spoken with through MySpace who are involved with the game."
MySpace is beneficial for the company, because users can add Wiggity Bang Games as their 'friend' and be connected to the site.
"We see MySpace not only as a marketing channel to distribute information about our company, but also as a way to stay in touch with our fans in a way that we've never been able to do before," says CEO Matthew Rivaldi. "It allows Wiggity Bang Games to be more personal and stay in touch with individuals better than other forms of marketing we've ever used."
Wiggity Bang Games, makers of the board game Quelf, is based in San Diego, California and is currently working on new and exciting games for people of all ages.
