Anita Jivan Patel, Managing Director of FGI Ltd, has won the Business Entrepreneur category at the eighth National Business Enterprise Awards presented at the house of commons.
(PRWEB) September 10, 2006 -- Anita Jivan Patel, Managing Director of FGI Ltd, has won the Business Entrepreneur category at the eighth National Business Enterprise Awards presented at the house of commons.
Anita was nominated by the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce after building her recruitment and training company from scratch into a multi-million turnover organisation in just four years.
FGI's education division is now the fourth largest provider of ITIL and PRINCE2 training in the UK and continues to go from strength to strength. The organisation has not lost any of the ambition that has transformed it into a market leader in it's field. FGI are expanding into Europe and plan to roll-out their successful formula for the provision of training and consultancy into Sweden, Holland and Germany over the next 12 months.
Anita comments "I was delighted to win a National Award as it shows high degree of external recognition. We have always prided ourselves on being an dynamic organisation at the forefront of our industry, but it is a real achievement to receive this acknowledgement. We aim to provide training and consultancy 'the way it should be' to meet and exceed our customers expectations and I believe this is a great indication that we are getting things right".
FGI also have a thriving recruitment division that provide professional and efficient services in selecting sales, marketing and technical candidates throughout Warwickshire and the West Midlands. The recruitment division was established after Anita found that local recruitment agencies could not provide high quality candidates with the skills she was looking for.
Miss Patel remarks "I believe one of the most important things in business is to recruit the right people". She adds "Our recruitment business is renowned for paying attention to detail which cannot be overestimated when selecting the people who represent your company".
Paul Warwick from Business Link said the award gave national recognition across a variety of sectors to the outstanding achievements in regional businesses.
He said “We nominated Anita because we feel she has an outstanding personality and has achieved a great deal within a very short space of time and she definitely proved her worth in front of a panel of judges.
“As well as providing Mustard funding, we gave her advice on streamlining her business and wish her all the success in the future”.
