Houston, Texas (PRWEB) September 7, 2006 -- Generon® IGS, an affiliate of Innovative Gas Systems, has recently completed the design phase of their NEW explosion proof cabinet series Membrane Nitrogen Generators. The first systems were sold and successfully operate in the oil & gas industry in North America and Iraq.

Not only in areas where explosive gases are temporary present (Class I, Division 2) but also in areas where those gases are continuously present (Class I, Division 1), Generon® IGS can now supply a Cabinet-Type Nitrogen Generator. Advantages over traditional skidded systems are price, footprint and weight.

The NEW Nitrogen Generators use the advanced GENERON Nitrogen Membrane technology. This allowed us to reduce the footprint to 3 ft. x 3 ft. The Nitrogen Generators, include pre-filtration and a process heater to increase the Membrane lifetime and optimize the Membrane performance as well as a PLC based product purity control and assurance system. This NEW line of cabinet systems will revolutionize the inert gas / nitrogen supply in the oil & gas industry and other hazardous area applications.

The NEW Nitrogen Generators are capable to produce up to 165 SCFM of nitrogen at a purity of 95%. The product pressure can be maintained at 190 PSIG. Purities of up to 99.9% can be reached without system modifications.

The NEW Nitrogen Generators are fully enclosed, designed for unattended, silent automated operation and will provide an uninterrupted supply of gaseous nitrogen. The enclosure is rated NEMA 4X and is made of 316-SS and also all other materials utilized are suitable for offshore environments. The maintenance frequency is kept at half a year.
