Seattle, Wash. (PRWEB) September 7, 2006 -- Chef Don Curtiss, of the internationally acclaimed Volterra restaurant, today announced that his signature Fennel Salt will make a guest appearance on the “Desperate Housewives” set on September 6, 2006. The boldly flavored Fennel Salt—inspired by Curtiss’ travels throughout Italy—has become wildly popular with celebrities and will be included in the Celebrity gift bags at the El Sueño de Esperanza Gala. The event, hosted by PADRES Contra El Cáncer national spokesperson, Eva Longoria, will take place on the Desperate Housewives’ Wisteria Lane set at Universal Studios.
Curtiss and his wife, Volterra’s managing partner, Michelle Quisenberry, will “spice up” the night with cooking demonstrations using their Fennel Salt for the more than 500 influential leaders in business, sports and entertainment who attend the Latino community’s most anticipated black-tie event of the year. Billy Bush will serve as Master of Ceremonies for this exclusive, red-carpet event which is expected to be attended by the Desperate Housewives cast, Lance Armstrong, Jessica Simpson, Jamie Foxx, Eva Mendes, Ryan Seacrest, Jessica Alba, Tony Parker, Brittany Murphy, Denise Rich, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Oscar De La Hoya, Carlos Mencia, Roselyn Sanchez, Mario Lopez and Paulina Rubio.
“We are thrilled to have our Fennel Salt included in this incredible event,” said Curtiss. “This is the third celebrity event we’ve been invited to participate in this year and it’s an honor for Michelle and me. Fennel Salt is something I created with love, and the fact that, through our partnership with Ritrovo, people all over the country can now enjoy it, brings us a great deal of joy.”
