Code Documentation as Fun Ride -- VSdocman 3.0

VSdocman, an auto-documentation and commenting tool from HELIXOFT, lets developers concentrate on content development, rather than labor-intensive manual documenting. Version 3.0 has an added support for C# and 15 other major and minor improvements.

Presov, Slovakia (PRWEB) September 9, 2006 -- HELIXOFT has announced the immediate availability of VSdocman 3.0 (previously known as VBdocman .NET). VSdocman is an add-in for Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, which enables you to auto-generate documentation directly from your source code, be it VB .NET or C#. When set to work, VSdocman parses the source and generates customizable MSDN-like documentation with a table of contents, index, search, cross-references, IntelliSense and F1 context sensitive help straight from the class structure and comments it finds there. VSdocman has a support for XML and JavaDoc comments, a WYSIWYG comment editor with tables, lists, pictures and links. It will output the generated documents from a single source to any of these formats: HTML, HTML Help (CHM), Help 2 (HxS), RTF and XML. Unlike competitors, VSdocman easily deploys and integrates generated help into Visual Studio. It also supports command-line mode for automated builds.

What's New in VSdocman 3.0?
VSdocman has been evolving over the past three years. It began as a source code documentation tool for Visual Basic .NET, steadily improved with each release and now comes with 16 improvements, among them is a full support for C# (hence the new name -- VSdocman). The new version provides localized output in several languages, including English, German, French, Spanish and Slovak. Now, adding a new language is as simple as editing one text file. Another good thing is that all links can point to framework members. Now, members declaration is shown in VB .NET, C#, C++ and JScript, and types inside are shown as links. Other important improvements in 3.0 include an ability not to list member attributes in declaration syntax section and ability to display all superclasses (even those outside the project) in inheritance tree. Additionally, there is an improved HTML output for better cross-browser compatibility and enhanced processing speed. A more descriptive information on VSdocman 3.0 is available at http://www.helixoft.com/net/features.htm
