Entrepreneurship is the engine of a diverse economy; we need a concerted plan, to increase the rate of company formation and the success of those that form. It's not that entrepreneurs won't form businesses or be successful without a plan, but like any infrastructure from better roads to schools, allocating resources to accelerate the start-up rate and decrease failures makes Ottawa more competitive. Entrepreneurship is especially important because the city leverages the entrepreneurs' investment, energy and understanding of diverse opportunities every time another business is formed and succeeds.

It’s an Election Year. Come and hear what Mayoral candidates have to say about entrepreneurship and how it fits into their plans for Ottawa’s economic development. If you have a tech business, or are planning one, come to listen and ask questions. It’s one night that might shape the next four years.
