Natural Arthritis Treatments Relieve Chronic Joint Pain

Natural arthritis treatments, chronic joint pain relief, early symptoms of gout and home remedies are some of the health related articles just released by ChristiaNet, Inc.

Houston, TX (PRWEB) September 9, 2006 -- ChristiaNet.com (http://www.christianet.com), the world's largest Christian portal with twelve million monthly page loads, has just launched a directory of health related articles and there is information on arthritis and various treatments listed in the directory. Natural arthritis treatments for chronic joint pain are among the articles that address the different arthritic conditions. ChristiaNet's president, Bill Cooper, seeks to bring the latest information to people who are suffering from the pain of arthritis. "Arthritis is a very painful and debilitating disease," explained Cooper. "We want to offer our readers the latest in medical information and developing treatment plans." Research from ChristiaNet reveals that there are natural arthritis treatments in the development stages throughout different health research organizations, but among the most promising is the joint supplement, glucosamine. Glucosamine is a supportive component in building up cartilage. In high quantities, and when used in combination with chondroitin, this supplement can help increase cartilage growth. The Arthritis Foundation published a statement revealing that glucosamine can also slow some arthritic progress. "Some research indicates that the supplements (glucosamine and chondroitin) might also slow cartilage damage in people with OA (osteoporosis). The Arthritis Foundation also states on their website that glucosamine and chondroitin may aid in relieving chronic joint pain.

"These supplements are offered by most health food and vitamin stores," offered Cooper. "But those with chronic joint pain should first consult a doctor and ask about an appropriate dosage. Products should be bought from well-known companies and product labels should be read carefully." Cooper explained that anyone who is considering adding a supplement to their diet should proceed with caution, making sure that their bodies can tolerate all of the ingredients.

Though it is exciting to learn about natural arthritis treatments, Cooper stressed again the importance of having a doctor's approval after a complete health evaluation has been conducted. "Our research shows that more studies on glucosamine are underway. However, until studies are completed, there are still uncertainties." As with any drug or supplement, pregnant and nursing women and those with other illnesses, such as diabetes, should not take these supplements. Side effects are rare, but some report gastric sensitivities. Anyone experiencing unusual symptoms after taking these supplements should contact a doctor for further consultation.
