Astra Women's Business Alliance Holds Its 10th Anniversary Awards on Sept. 20 and 21

Portland Is the Host City For Businesswomen From Seven States Who Will Join Astra Businesswomen's Alliance's 10th Anniversary Awards

San Leandro, CA (PRWEB) September 10, 2006 -- On September 20 and 21st, several hundred women business owners are expected to convene in Portland, Oregon, at the Governor Hotel for Astra Women's Business Alliance's 10th Anniversary Awards and Networking Gala.

Supplier Diversity representatives and other corporate representatives from some of the areas' most powerful companies and the Gala's sponsors(e.g., Boeing, Enterprise Rent a Car, US Bank, UPS, Verizon, Olsa Technology, Cingular, Hispanic News, San Jose Water, and Gifts by Design)will be there, and Astra members from six states(Alaska, Idaho, California, Washington, Montana, and Oregon) will be well represented according to Astra's President, Diane McClelland.

But then, who could resist this two day program which will begin on the evening of the 20th with a cruise on the Willamette River. The 21st provides a packed schedule that begins with workshops and moves onto a dynamic presentation by the luncheon speaker, Carol Gardner, who will talk abut "Overcoming Life's Obstacles,"

The one-on-one matchmaker meetings between corporate buyers and Astra member suppliers will be the first item on the afternoon's agenda, and then cocktails and a gala dinner and awards program will conclude the day.
