“Performing maintenance is no longer a back room fix-it, greasy shop-rag operation” states industrial reliability expert Terrence O'Hanlon. “The sophisticated predictive maintenance instruments in use today require the high technology prowess of leading computer engineers combined with the diagnostic capability equal to a medical doctor. Overheated high voltage electrical connections are detected with Infrared Thermal Imagers, bearing failures are caught before a shut down with vibration analysers and advanced software tracks machinery condition and provides early alarms to prevent forced outages. Smart companies are quickly realizing the competitive advantages of an effective maintenance strategy and are making the investment in hardware, software and most importantly, workforce skills.”

PdM-2006 The Predictive Maintenance Technology Conference is a focused 4 day “community of learning” event and is attended by over 600 maintenance and reliability professionals including the world’s most noted experts in Vibration Analysis, Infrared Thermal Imaging, Motor Testing, Airborne Ultrasound, Oil Analysis and Lubrication technologies.

The next Uptime PdM Program of the Year Awards will be presented PdM-2007 - The Predictive Maintenance Technology Conference and LubricationWorld are booked at The Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas from September 11-13, 2007.
