Sailfest includes seminars from Northwest experts on topics such as cruising the Virgin Islands, and the Coast of Viet Nam to Gunkholing in the San Juans, marine first aid and basic maintenance at sea along with topics such a Advanced Marine Vehicles presented by WSU Professor, Konstantin Matveev.
Other Sailfest activities include free sailboat rides courtesy of Sailing Sand Point. Think you have what it takes to sail in the America’s Cup? Kids and kids at heart can test their speed, endurance and strength on a real Lewmar Grinder – a human-powered mechanical crank that hoists the mainsail.
