Cosmetic Enhancement Comes Out of The Closet

enhancementQuest offers support, advice and visibility for cosmetic products and procedures.

A new website has launched to provide the growing number of people interested in cosmetic enhancement with a place to discuss products and procedures in order to get the best look possible.

The website, enhancementQuest (http://www.enhancementQuest.com), provides members with a photo gallery, blogs, access to discussion groups and more.

"Statistics show that millions of people are spending billions of dollars on cosmetic products and procedures, yet the stigma around all of this has prevented them from connecting in any meaningful way," says enhancementQuest founder Simon Smith.

"That's prevented people from sharing information and experiences, and ultimately hindered people's ability to safely and effectively improve themselves," says Smith. "With enhancementQuest, we aim to make this invisible community highly visible, to each other and the world."

The enhancementQuest website will connect people through today's leading social software applications in a way that allows them to ask questions, get answers, discuss options and share experiences.

"For example, a member may be interested in reducing wrinkles. She (or he) could come to enhancementQuest and ask other members -- who may range from casual observers to physicians -- what products and procedures work best. She can then read people's experiences in the blogs and forums. And when she's undergone positive changes, she can post photos in her gallery for other members to see -- and learn from."

To help facilitate information sharing and gathering, enhancementQuest features easy-to-use searching and tagging. So, for example, people looking for information on Restylane can simply click the "Restylane" tag to see all blog, forum and photo posts describing Restylane products and procedures.

"The true test of enhancementQuest's success is the degree to which people come out of the closet about their cosmetic procedures," says Smith. "Looking good is nothing to be ashamed of, especially since cosmetic enhancement helps level the playing field with people who are naturally endowed with traits that society finds beautiful."
